Final Days at UGA

As our final days at UGA came to an end, I began to reflect upon all that I have learned throughout these past 8 weeks. I have learned how to be a leader, how to push myself outside of my comfort zone, and how to plan ahead (among so many other life skills). Our last week at UGA mainly focused on preparing for our customer service presentation, which focused on 'The Art of Language'. Throughout the presentation, we talked about positive vs. negative language, promoting customer feedback, and nonverbal communication. Overall, I think the presentation was a success. We then spent the rest of the day back at The Niche Pizza Co., getting more practice on dealing with customers and training new employees; it was really good hands on experience.

As Wednesday approached, it was time for us to have our final evaluation. It was very sad to say goodbye to our two coordinators, who put their time and effort into making this experience a great one for both Maura and I. That evening, I took a trip up to Helen, GA, where I stayed the night in a little green Gypsy Vardo, and spent the following day (my birthday!), riding up the mountain on ATV's and zip-lining! It was an amazing way to spend my birthday and my final days in Athens, GA.

This time has surely been memorable, and I cannot express my gratitude for being able to partake in such an amazing and educational program!
