Go Jayhawks! |
Julie and I were immediately greeted at the airport by our sweet and generous (see picture above ☺) preceptor, Christine Ebert, who gave a quick driving tour of the city of Lawrence and KU's gorgeous campus. Julie and I were very impressed by everything to say the least! On the night of arrival (Saturday, June 4th), we were invited to dinner by Christine and the Assistant Director of Residential Dining, Sheryl Kidwell, who was just as amazing as Christine! It was a great evening getting to know everyone.
Today, Sunday, June 5th, Julie and I had the chance to explore campus on our own. The University of Kansas is absolutely stunning; it is filled with Jayhawk spirt, incredibly historic and is loved by the entire city of Lawrence.

While touring the campus, we also got to visit KU's Natural History Museum! This was my favorite part of our day because I love all museums - and KU has plenty, so more pictures to come when we visit the rest in the future!
Tomorrow, Julie and I plan to visit downtown Lawrence and explore it's unique shops and culture!

Until then, our first two nights at the University of Kansas have been great and we look forward to the rest of our journey and the official start of our internship on Tuesday! Goodnight!
