Hello from Kansas University!

There is no place like home, but for the next 8 weeks, home is Kansas University, and I could not be more excited! Arriving in Kansas City, I was greeted by both Christine and Bri! It was so great to finally meet them both after talking for so long! After the airport we traveled to The University of Kansas, and had great conversations (even a crash course in 'tornado training!'). You could say I was more worried about the tornado situation! We were treated to a grand tour of Lawrence, Kansas and the campus! Both which made me very excited to go exploring. Coming from a small university, it was amazing to see the sheer size of KU, and it is definitely something I will have to get used to!

Look! I found the Tin Man today!

After settling in, and some exploring of the Residence Hall, Christine, Bri and I, ate dinner with Sheryl (Christine's boss), at such a nifty burger joint, and the food was delicious! I am very excited to explore downtown Lawrence, especially because the town my college is located in does not have one!

Also I was lied to, Kansas does have hills!

Today, Bri and I did do some exploring of KU's campus, and let me tell you, it is beautiful! We walked all over and found some cool spots, including a museum of natural history! There were 7 floors of artifacts, nature, and intriguing information! We also found the Kansas University Memorial Stadium, along with the World War II Memorial, that is also a bell tower. The weather so far has been amazing; clear blue skies with scant clouds and a light breeze (perfect for exploring)! The next week is supposed to be just like today, and I could not be happier!

Tomorrow, Bri and I have decided to adventure on to the city of Lawrence to see what else fun and exciting we can find! I can't wait, and I can't wait to start! The Jayhawk pride is contagious and I am excited for what is to come!

Rock Chalk, Jayhawks, Go KU!!
